Comedy Gold

McKenna has been having a go with a comedy schtick lately that is probably working for her and her new friends at school. On Monday everything was “poopie”. “what’s for dinner daddy?….Poopie? Hahahahaha” . Yesterday she mixed pee-pee in to her routine.

First Day of Big Changes

Well the renovations have officially begun. Carrie and I spent the better part of last night moving out of the kitchen while the girls slept. Today they demolished the entire thing and we are completely out of a kitchen sink, dishwasher and oven. We have moved into the living room and we are doing dishes in the girls bathroom. Tomorrow night we are going out for dinner.
Here are some pictures. You will notice who is the most bothered by all of this…

Car Shopping

Friday night the Kleeman’s and their two daughters came down to our pool for some playtime and dinner. Their older daughter, Fiona and McKenna are really starting to be able to play together. We had a nice time and the girls had a nice little picnic together.
Saturday we decided to do some car shopping and see if we could get something for my Jeep. It has served its purpose and there is no good way to secure the child seats. The girls loved climbing in and out of cars and riding around on golf carts at the dealerships. We went out for lunch and then came home for a nap… that no one took. After nap we took the girls to huge new place filled with bouncy houses. It essentially is a big warehouse filled with inflated play toys. McKenna loved it and was sweaty by the time we were ready to go. Maya hated it.

We think school is already doing great things for the girls. McKenna recited all 12 month for a us on the way home last night and neither of us have taught her that at all. Maya is repeating everything and really making an effort to talk and not just cry.

Today we played in the yard and went swimming and prepared for our big renovation. Starting Tuesday we won’t have a sink!

Eeew You Get Out

The girls were exhausted today when I got home. A long day at school followed by swim lessons and playtime at the gym. Everything these days for McKenna is “Eeew” this and “Eeew” that. Even for things she likes.. like waffles with syrup… “eeew”.
She was so tired that she was struggling getting her PJs on so I went in to help her. “She said Eeew… Get out! I can do it myself.”
I followed up my dismissal by going in to visit with Maya and Carrie. I went to give Maya a kiss and she said.. “Noo” and turned away. It was kind of funny that they both were like that to me. It was just fine with me as I wanted to try and get a blog entry done.
