Yesterday Carrie was on call most of the day and ended up working about six hours. When she got home we walked over to our neighbors that was having a block party. There are a bunch of little girls around the same age in the neighborhood and the ‘block party’ quickly became a little girls party.
Princesses
There were burgers and hot dogs to be eaten as well as an assortment of snack food. Maya sampled everything she could reach on the table as well as someone’s beer… I think she needed to wash down the Cheetos. Later the girls had some Popsicles (another first for Maya) and did some dancing.
Today was the first day the entire family was together for the whole day. It was really nice. I think the girls are loving that I am around all the time but they really like it when we are both here. We went food shopping and had a picnic lunch in the front yard. Later we went on a walk in the Greenbelt and I taught McKenna how to be a hayseed.
Hayseed
Most of the day was spent moving the girls toys from the living room to their new location in the office. The girls decided Jaxson was to be a princess and I was their horse.
