Lately when I have been coming home from work the girls are either out with Carrie somewhere or outside playing. They both have been running to me with arms open and giving me giant (for little girls) hugs. There is simply nothing better in this world than that. Maya usually gives me an extended hug and I pick her up and she lays her head on my shoulder and sucks her thumb for a good three minutes. When I pick McKenna up she usually looks at my face and pokes at it but in a kind way (I think). I am really trying to soak these times up and save them long enough to recall them when they are grown.
McKenna picked out her own clothes including underwear this morning. I was very proud of her. Maya still wakes up pretty early but I usually let her stay in her room until 7am while I get their lunches and breakfasts made. It also allows me to get a cup of coffee in me before I need to entertain my two princesses.
Tonight the girls were playing very nicely in the tub together and I ran to get the camera but it was too late to get the good stuff. Here is a few anyway.
