The Life of McKenna and Maya

Carrie took the girls to get their Easter pictures taken. It didn’t go very well. McKenna was just perfect but Maya was miserable. That was the trend all day and McKenna actually was so good that she got a bite of ice cream after dinner. We will see how the pictures came out on Thursday. Some of them were really good even with Maya crying according to Carrie.
We think Maya has a little stomach bug which could be the reason for the crankyness. When I got home everyone was out in the yard. Carrie went in to finish her book and I took the girls across the street to play with the neighbors. We came home a little before six and the girls bugged Carrie while she tried to finish her book and I got dinner ready.
Maya had the prettiest little blouse on and she just looked so cute that I had to take this picture:

Carrie worked late today and Misty had to leave by 5 so I was home a little early today to be with the girls. When I came home they were in the driveway looking at something. It turned out to be a worm. It was fascinating to both girls… especially McKenna who picked it up and put it in the grass. The worm left some mud on her hand and she asked why it pooped on her.
We went to the playground and played on the swings and McKenna played with some other little girls. We visited the basketball court and McKenna took a few shots, a few of which nearly landed on her head. Maya thought it was a soccer ball and kicked it a few times. On the way back home we passed a mud puddle that was instant fun.

The girls had a video conference with Grammy today. The girls evidently modeled their clothes for Grammy that she sent in the mail. After that they took over Jaxson’s bed for some reason and Carrie captured the video:

When I got home both girls were stripped down to their underwear and painting. Here are some photos:

Her Allergist called Carrie today and basically reinforced what we already knew and anticipated. She is highly allergic to nuts, tree nuts, mustard and eggs. We need to have her retested for fish and lentils.
But we gave her some black beans and she was fine the other night.

McKenna has caught Maya’s cold and was rather grouchy today according to Misty. When I got home she asked me to be Mickey Mouse and not Daddy for the rest of the night. Later she asked me just to be Mickey from now on… so no more Daddy for me my future lies as a fictional rodent. She has learned to trade a McKenna the dolphin story for a book and has worked her night time total up to 4 books with this method.
When Carrie got home McKenna was doing her usual things like wearing princess dresses etc but she put her baby in her high-chair and fed it:

Yesterday Carrie took McKenna to the dentist for the first time. Aparently it was a whirlwind experience and she felt a bit sick afterwards. Carrie belives it was due to her being nervous but I think it may have been from the teeth cleaning. That stuff is so nasty tasting.
Both girls woke up last night and I am really spacy today because of it. We haven’t had a solid nights sleep in a while.
