Carrie took Maya to her 1 year check up this morning so McKenna and I were left to fend for ourselves. It feels like a long time since she and I had the morning by ourselves. We had a great time. First breakfast of waffle and a little bit of syrup. Then we went out to the driveway to learn how to ride the tricycle.
She tried first with flip flops and it seemed that they were hindering her ability to keep her feet on the peddals. So I changed her into her sneakers. She got on the bike and peddaled half way down the driveway before deciding that she didn’t want to ride any more. I tried to encourage her to try ride some more and let her know how fun it would be… she just had no interest. Instead she convinced me to carry her on my shoulders in to the back yard to look for deer.
Maya got up in the middle of the night last night… not sure why. Carrie went in to soothe her and then Carrie could not get back to sleep. We are thinking it may be another tooth coming in.
